About the Carol Jenkins Barnett and Publix Community Service Scholarship
This scholarship honors the life and philanthropic work of Carol Jenkins Barnett, former chair and president of Publix Super Markets Charities and daughter of our founder, Mr. George. She carried on her father’s legacy of community service and is especially remembered for her advocacy of children.
Each year, 2 active associates are chosen for this award based on their community service activities. Associates must be in good employment and academic standing and be registered as full-time, 1st-year college or technical program students for the following fall academic semester.
