A fresh take: Assistant Deli Manager Juan De La Cruz, #1101, Orlando, Florida, suggested changing the order of the meats in our Italian sub kits in our Fresh Kitchen facility to make them easier to identify from our other sub kits. The change was made in December, helping our associates save time while helping customers.
Making it count: Assistant Store Manager John Perryman, #111, Pinellas Park, Florida, was able to help eliminate confusion around order quantities by suggesting a change to the printing services order form stores use. The change was rolled out in February.
No paper, no problem: Customer Service Manager Nick Talvy, #884, Jacksonville, Florida, recommended eliminating the paper order books still being sent to stores, since orders can be placed online. Nick’s sustainable and money-saving idea was implemented in February.
For the love of language: Customer Service Manager Jessi Medley, #824, North Charleston, South Carolina, noticed the wording on cash office forms could be improved for clarity. The changes are currently being implemented.
Waste not, want not: After realizing excess POP was being sent to standalone pharmacies, Pharmacy Lead Technician Stephanie Johnson, Pharmacy Manager Christina “Nina” Winkler, both of Publix Pharmacy at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care in Jacksonville, Florida, and Store Manager Nathan Johnson, #1684, Saint Johns, Florida, recommended these pharmacies no longer receive these materials. Thanks to this joint effort, standalone pharmacies will soon no longer receive these kits, helping Publix reduce waste.
