Keep the relaxation in your vacation

We have smartphones, smart homes and smart televisions, so what about smart vacations?

It’s that time of year again. School’s out, families are traveling and life on the road can be a bit demanding. Because we want to keep the summer fun, here are some tips and tricks to help you spend less time stressing and more time smiling.

Bag check to the left
Airports can be chaotic, so make your trip a little easier and pay for your baggage ahead of time. Be sure to check your airline’s website for any guidelines on what you’re allowed to carry on or check.

Groceries on the go
Who said planning meals on vacation needs to be stressful? For most hotels and resorts throughout our operating area, you can choose to have your groceries delivered right to your room! And if it isn’t offered where you’re staying, curbside pickup is available for your convenience.

Booked and busy
Another way to save time — and maybe even money — is by booking tours or reservations a few weeks before your trip. This not only helps you plan your vacation but can even prevent you from waiting in long lines or missing some of the popular tourist sites.

Charge it up!
Forgetting your phone charger is a common packing mistake. Put it at the top of your list or even pack it 1st to avoid leaving it at home.

Dolla, dolla bills, y’all!
Yes, yes, we know. Cash might seem like a thing of the past, but bringing some cash along on trips can be beneficial in several ways. Depending on where you stop, some credit and debit cards may not be accepted.

The earliest bird gets the worm?
We all know that one person who gets to the airport at least 4 hours early just to sit around and wait until their flight boards. To avoid being too early or too late, aim to get to the airport 2 hours before takeoff for domestic flights and at least 3 hours before an international flight.
