Bypass your doctor’s office and head straight to Publix Pharmacy for your vaccines.
Publix Pharmacy provides a variety of common vaccines, and the good news is you can take advantage of this service. No appointment is needed — making this a convenient way to get your vaccines!
The Publix Pharmacy offers vaccines for
- chicken pox

- hepatitis B
- human papillomavirus (HPV)
- measles, mumps and rubella
- meningitis

- shingles and
- tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough).
For associates and their family members enrolled in the BCBS PPO Plan, a $30 copay applies to each vaccine you receive after you meet the prescription benefit annual deductible. You also have the option to get your vaccines from your doctor, if you prefer, as part of your annual physical.
If you’re age 50 or older, you should consider getting the new Shingrix shingles vaccine. One-third of all Americans will get shingles in their lifetime. Shingles is typically very painful and can have severe complications. After two doses that are two to six months apart, Shingrix is more than 90 percent effective at preventing shingles. And while some vaccines require a prescription from your doctor, the Shingrix shingles vaccine is available without a prescription.
So, stop by your Publix Pharmacy for more information about the available vaccines. Or visit publix.com/vaccines. Restrictions may apply.
The Publix Pharmacy also provides free flu shots to associates through the Life. Inspired. program. See next month’s issue of Publix News for more details!
