In 2021, Supermarket Employee Day was created to honor supermarket employees and the vital role they play in our country’s workforce. On Feb. 22, we will take part in that celebration and recognize you! After all, it takes our more than 250,000 Publix associates to help further our mission to be the premier quality food retailer in the world.

Publix associates have been providing great service to our customers since Sept. 6, 1930, when George Jenkins opened the 1st Publix store. That’s more than 90 years of providing premier customer service! Mr. George would be proud of what Publix associates have accomplished since those humble beginnings.
