Tap into your potential using tuition reimbursement

Did you graduate from high school thinking you would continue your education but didn’t have the money to enroll? You’re not alone, and Publix is here to help.

Publix offers associates the opportunity to participate in our tuition reimbursement program, which will reimburse some tuition costs for individual courses, undergraduate or graduate degrees, or technical or occupational programs. Areas of study range from marketing and business administration to cybersecurity and supply chain management. Annual and lifetime reimbursement limits were increased last year, providing even more assistance.

Eligibility

Any associate with 90 days of continuous service who works an average of at least 10 hours a week is eligible to participate in reimbursement for their undergraduate studies. Associates who wish to pursue a graduate degree are eligible for reimbursement if the degree is required or preferred based on their current position or established career path. Participation in the reimbursement program requires manager approval, whether it’s for undergraduate or graduate studies.

Success story

Real Estate Accounting Specialist Zoila Alza used the program while working at #669, North Miami Beach, Florida. She had postponed her college education once because she didn’t have enough financial aid to cover all the costs. Our tuition reimbursement program helped her to take 2 classes per semester while working, and she eventually earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University without going into debt. Her degree then led to a support role in our finance department.

“I paid in advance, then was reimbursed,” Zoila said. “The tuition reimbursement program was a big thing for me, as I didn’t have to worry about high costs to graduate from college.”
