Associates, customers seen dancing at GreenWise Market

Managers at #1689, Marietta, Georgia, sing to the tune of customer and associate excitement — and maybe a little Drake.

Why did you want to be part of your GreenWise Market’s opening team?

Assistant Store Manager Hermith Coleman: When the first GreenWise Market opened in Tallahassee, Florida, I immediately fell in love! To hear that one of my favorite organic brands (GreenWise) was opening an actual store made me proud, and to know my company was opening a free-standing market focused on health and wellness made me want to be included.

Grocery Manager Justin Quest: I wanted to be a part of the management team at the first GreenWise Market to open in Georgia.

Assistant Produce Manager Erik Chadwick: I thought the new concept was the right idea to help our company move forward and grow.

What is your favorite thing about GreenWise Market?

Meat Manager Dan Wadsworth: First, the vibe created by the team and how they interact with the customers. Second, all the new recipes and products.

Assistant Prepared Food Manager Chris McCoy: I love that GreenWise Market caters to customers who are looking for alternative or specialty items that can’t be found at other stores in their communities.

Produce Manager Matt Bishop: My favorite parts of working and shopping at GreenWise Market are the people, great music, delicious smoothies and wonderful guacamole!

What do you hope to see as your store grows?

Assistant Meat Manager Caitlin Guest: I hope to see more focus on being pillars in our community, as well as continuing to bring more sustainable practices into our store.

Assistant Prepared Foods Manager Matt Cozzolino: I think this is the perfect location for a specialty, natural and organic store, and we will do great things here!

How has your community reacted to GreenWise Market?

Assistant Grocery Manager Marco Lorenzo: The community reaction has been amazing! They couldn’t wait for grand opening day. They really love the way GreenWise Market was set up and the different music we play in the store.

Now that the store has been open for a couple of months, what have you learned about putting a new concept store into practice?

Store Manager Jon Pastore: Despite being a new concept store, our core values still play a major part in our identity. Mr. George set up this company with such a solid set of ideals that even when entering a slightly different area of our business, we can easily integrate those ideals.

Tell us a story about a customer interaction that showed you what makes GreenWise different.

Assistant Customer Service Manager Amber Harrison: During our second week of being open, Drake’s “Passionfruit” came on in the store and the associates were dancing on the front end and customers joined in! At a time when the coronavirus had people afraid to leave their homes, it was nice to see people enjoying others, but from a safe distance.

Customer Service Manager Matt DeLeo: The greatest example I’ve seen is the abundance of local vendors who have reached out to ask about getting their products in our store. The process to accomplish this is very streamlined, and we have an opportunity to source some hyperlocal products that you won’t find in other stores.
