Prepared Foods Clerk Judy Throupe

According to Store Manager Jared Davis, Judy “literally gets five customer compliments a week, every week.” He also said he’d name her associate of the year, if he could, but had to settle for associate of the month.
For her part, Judy says she really loves the customers, and she listens to what they may need.
“I welcome them and tell them we’re happy to have them,” she says. “I try to feel their mood to know how to approach them. I make it my business that the image the customer sees is what GreenWise Market represents.”
Produce Clerk Andrew Campbell

Produce Manager Robert Guerrero said, “Andrew has demonstrated the GreenWise Market vibe since day one. He is always interacting with and consistently friendly to customers.”
“Andrew treats every customer as if they were a family member coming to visit his home,” said Store Manager Cody Lusher. “He does a perfect Donald Duck impression that kids love too!”
Andrew loves the way customers and associates can expand their horizons by trading recipes and ideas.

Meat Cutter Tony Abrams
#1676, Mountain Brook, Ala.
Tony loves his customers.
“It’s not a show. It’s something I genuinely feel about people,” he said. “I just like to see people’s faces light up when I describe, or they taste, a food. It’s in my nature to feed people.”
And CUTS Manager Chris Vickers has seen firsthand how much customers appreciate Tony. Prior to joining the GreenWise Market team, Tony had worked at a nearby Publix. One afternoon, Tony was cooking for a food-selling event, and a customer who shopped at Tony’s previous store was in GreenWise Market for the first time. They were very excited to see Tony, and the customer’s child even wanted to take a picture with him.
“Tony had delivered premier customer service at the Publix they shopped, and they were excited to see a familiar face,” said Chris. “They said they would be lifelong customers here at GreenWise Market as long as Tony is here.”
“I’ve been an associate for 16 years,” said Tony. “Publix has been good to me and my family, so I want to do my part and more.”

He’s also been recognized by his peers for his contagious personality and outstanding service.”
“My wife says I have irrational enthusiasm,” said J.D. “I’m easily excitable, and I love talking to customers, developing new relationships and helping people.”
When asked for an example of a time he went above and beyond, he responded, “I try to do that all the time as opposed to one specific time. My goal is to accomplish that every time I’m with a customer. Taking the extra step is always appreciated.”
Customer Service Clerk Caitlin Reynolds
#1676, Mountain Brook, Ala.
The thing people know Caitlin for is her sense of humor.
“I want to make customers feel like they’re talking to someone they know, not just a customer service clerk at a grocery store, so I tell jokes,” said Caitlin.
“Caitlin goes above and beyond with her great attitude,” said Customer Service Manager Amber Barbee. “Caitlin has a great lineup of jokes and builds rapport with our customers by using them as an ice breaker.”
Caitlin enjoys making people laugh so much, she held “Jokes with Caitlin” day on Aug. 11. And, she was recognized by the marketing department for helping to make GreenWise Market REWARDS more successful.
