Brad began his Publix career in 1998 as a front service clerk at #352, Lakeland, Florida (now #1854). While attending Florida State University, he worked as a grocery clerk before taking a break in service. After graduation, he returned to Publix in 2008 as a property manager and has held several roles, including numerous positions in the real estate department. He was promoted to his current position in 2019.
Which skills have advanced your Publix career the most?
Never making excuses for myself. The follow-through is so important for professional growth.
What do you want to learn next?
I want to learn more about our construction and engineering operations. I’d like to have a better understanding of the work they do and how it impacts my business area.
What’s your work philosophy?
Keep things simple. I believe breaking things down allows you to have a clear understanding of what you’re trying to accomplish.
What’s your proudest moment?
Aside from my kids being born, I would have to say my 1st store opening as a real estate manager. It was #1516, Wilmington, North Carolina.
What makes Publix a great place to work?
It’s the people more than anything else. Publix people are so different. It’s what sets us apart from everyone else.

“Caddyshack”

A podcast called “Bone Valley”
What’s your favorite sports team?
I’m a big Florida State Seminoles fan.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy going to the beach, fishing, golfing and playing tennis.
Farthest you’ve traveled.
In high school, I traveled to Tanzania in Africa.
If you could meet anyone in the past or present, who would it be?
I’d want to meet my grandfather on my dad’s side. He died before I was born.
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
I would like to visit Asia.
Your favorite Publix product?
We eat a lot of Publix Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream at my house because my kids love it. A recent favorite is the Publix Chicken Bacon Ranch Dip.
