
Bryan began his Publix career in 1999 as a front service clerk at #418, Cape Coral, Florida. He held various positions, including grocery manager, assistant store manager and store manager, before being promoted to district manager in the Lakeland Division in 2016. Bryan was promoted to his current position in 2024.
What’s your motto?
“Execution without excuses.” There’s always a reason why something can’t happen, but I believe that it’s our responsibility to find the resolution.
Who’s been your biggest inspiration?
I’ve had the privilege of working with many inspirational leaders who have been instrumental in my success. However, former District Manager Mike Kot stands out. He relentlessly challenged me to elevate my performance.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Take time to understand our processes and the reasons behind our actions. Gaining this insight is essential because it helps you be more effective. It empowers you to educate, train and develop the next generation of leaders with clarity and confidence.
What are your hobbies?
We are a hockey family; I have 2 boys who play. You can almost always find me at the rink if I’m not at work.
What’s something about you that people may be surprised to learn?
I’m in training to earn my pilot’s license.

What quality helps you lead your team?
Relationship-building by having open conversations with associates to get to know them. I believe the more I learn about someone, the more I can help them.

“The Sopranos.” It has so many storylines tied into 1 show.
What did you want to be as a kid?
I love aviation. When I was younger, I really wanted to be a pilot.

Invest in others. It’s my favorite Mr. George lesson.

Attending the NHL Winter Classic and going to game 7 of an NHL Stanley Cup playoff

My proudest moments are when associates who have worked for me get promoted. I am proud to watch them grow in their Publix careers.

“The Oz Principle.” It’s about always living above the line (the standard).
