The President’s Award is presented to 1 district manager from each of our 5 divisions and 1 support leader who embody the philosophies of Mr. George. They perpetuate the spirit of diversity, inclusion and growth.

Below are our 2023 President’s Award recipients.

Atlanta Division

District Manager Sean Franklin

Sean takes pride in promoting managers. For him, it’s about making people believe in the dream of Publix and showing what this company can do for them and their families.

Charlotte Division

District Manager Vicki Parker

Vicki believes being a good leader means knowing how to treat others and helping them succeed. She has put great effort into helping those she leads so they can realize their potential.

Jacksonville Division

District Manager Abe Gonzalez

Abe loves Publix for the opportunities it gives its associates to show their very best to others and their communities. He focuses on connectivity and establishing genuine and lasting relationships with associates and customers.

Lakeland Division

District Manager April Young

April helps her team succeed and grow. Her goal has never been to be honored personally. She wants to invest in others and gain satisfaction and happiness through their achievements.

Miami Division

District Manager Lillian Cook

Lillian is a leader with high standards and expectations. She’s also personable and there for her team whenever they need it. Lillian always tells her team that from the minute they get out of bed, they should start thinking about every customer interaction and every small detail because the little things make a difference.

Senior Director of Pharmacy Administration Katie Scanlon, Lakeland, Florida

Katie tries to lead by example; she would never ask someone to do something she wouldn’t do herself. She has a lot of trust and faith in her team. Katie and her team celebrate their successes, but they also celebrate opportunities as a way to continue to learn.
