Recipients of the industrial operations awards were recognized earlier this year during their annual meeting. The awards highlight the achievements of leaders and facilities in distribution, industrial maintenance and manufacturing who have demonstrated their commitment to safety, operational excellence, and community service during the past year. Safety
Facilities that consistently strive to make safety a priority within their operations are recognized with the safety award. They are selected based on low incident frequency, cost rates and practices that proactively manage safety and comply with safety plans. Each associate at the facility received a lapel pin, and the facility received $500 for a celebration.

Operational Excellence
Facilities with the best overall performance in safety, product quality, facility culture, continuous improvement, financial results and significant accomplishments are recognized with the operational excellence award. The management team from the winning facilities attended a special dinner, and each facility received $500 to host a celebration.

Servant Leadership
Associates who go above and beyond to perpetuate Publix’s culture receive the servant leadership award. Each associate received a plaque and a $50 Publix gift card.

Excellence in Green Efforts and Sustainability
Facilities that demonstrate efficient use of fuel, best recycling practices, and energy and water conservation are presented the excellence in green efforts and sustainability award. The winning facility received $500 for a celebration.
