Danielle Wood, Director of Human Resources Operations

Danielle began her career at Publix in 1990 as a front service clerk. She worked in various positions in retail. In 2003, she transferred to the Miami Division to join the support team as a customer service retail improvement specialist. Danielle moved to Lakeland, Florida, in 2015 as a technical coordinator for customer service, and in 2018, she became a retail coordinator before being promoted to her current position in 2022.

What is your go-to song to pump you up?
It’s an entire playlist that gets the job done! “Holy Grail,” by Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z; “All Right Now,” by Free; “Dinero,” by Jennifer Lopez; add some Outkast, Rihanna and Pitbull, and you’re unstoppable!

What’s your personal or professional motto?
Everything is “figureoutable.”

Where were you born?
Miami

What do you like to do in your free time?
Family first: anything with my husband, kids and our extended family. Volunteering. Driving my car with my husband, top down in the sunshine.

What’s your favorite movie?
“Grease”

What’s your favorite place to vacation?
I have a vacation motto: “Never go back.” I want to try something new every year. My favorite so far is Belize.

What are you binge-watching right now?
“Madame Secretary”

What do you want to learn next?
The list is LONG! To really understand how to support people, you must clearly understand what they do. I have a lot to learn in our HR department, and I’m focused on that right now.
