A pleasurable shopping experience doesn’t begin when customers step inside a Publix. It starts outside with our well-maintained parking lots. It’s just one of the ways our real estate operations team best serves our customers.
Our real estate operations team is dedicated to supporting leased stores across our operating area. They act as a liaison between Publix and the landlords of our leased locations, keeping Publix’s mission in mind.
The team consists of 11 property managers who work with landlords and the facilities team to monitor the condition of our leased locations. Beyond making sure landlords are fulfilling their lease obligations, each property manager must also be prepared to tackle unexpected situations as they arise. For example, property managers solve roadwork opportunities and negotiate with our landlords to make exterior improvements.
