Describe the Publix Pharmacy team in 2 words.
Invisible heroes. I actually wrote a poem for Pharmacist Appreciation Week with that title. It hangs outside our Vice President Dain Rusk’s office.

What is your favorite Publix memory?
That’s a funny story actually! After I interviewed for my 1st job at Publix, I talked to my mom and she asked why I wanted the job. I told her it smelled like chicken soup in the halls, and you get free lunch every day.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Susan B. Anthony

I’d like to learn how to play the violin.

What’s a song you’ve had on repeat lately?
“‘Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson

Physical book or audiobook?
I like both based on what I’m doing. If I’m sitting down, then a physical book. If I’m driving or up and moving around, then an audiobook.

Publix Deli Lemon Pepper Oven-Roasted Chicken

What’s something any associate wanting to pursue a career in Publix Pharmacy should know?
Pharmacy will be the most complex area you have ever dealt with. But there are no silly questions, and you’re going to be addicted to the challenge.

When did you know you wanted a career at Publix?
I knew I wanted to work for a Fortune 100 company, and Publix was on the list. Our reputation for being a great place to work stood out to me, so I did my research. Now, look at me 14 years later!

What’s a show you couldn’t stop watching until you saw it all?
“Billions” on Showtime

What is your dream job?
I want to start a nonprofit to help mentor kids and young adults and help them grow and develop. I have been so fortunate to have great leaders and mentors throughout my career and would like to pay it forward by helping others fulfill their dreams. Sometimes all people need is someone to say, “You can.”
