Joe Taylor, Lakeland Division Regional Director

Joe began his Publix career in 1978 as a front service clerk. Since then, he’s held a variety of roles, including assistant store manager, store manager and district manager. In 2007, he was promoted to his current position where he oversees 88 stores and 11,000 associates in the Lakeland Division’s western region.

Success starts where your comfort zone ends.

What skills do you think have advanced your Publix career the most?
A passion for the business and willingness to help others succeed

What is something on your bucket list?
Space travel would be a blast –– no pun intended.

When did you know you wanted a career at Publix?
Very early on. I was fortunate to work for some exceptional managers who helped me learn and grow in this business.

“Publix will be a little better place, or not quite as good, because of you.”
