Keith Everett, Business Development Director of Grocery Retail Support

Keith joined the Publix family in 1990 as a front service clerk at #304, Daytona Beach, Florida, and worked in various store positions in Florida and Georgia. He was promoted to store manager in 2000, district manager in 2013 and regional director in 2016. He moved into his current position in 2022.

What is your favorite Publix experience?
Being honored as a George W. Jenkins Award recipient in 2013

What’s your advice to someone just starting their Publix career?
Work hard, listen well and be willing to take professional risks.

If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose would they be? Why?
If I could, I’d like to return to a store manager role to apply the things I’ve learned and make more of an impact with the knowledge I’ve gathered.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Woodworking and building furniture

What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Building a grandfather clock from start to finish

Favorite place to vacation?
Home Depot and Lowe’s. Most of my vacations have been centered around improving my home. My wife and I get more enjoyment out of the things we can build for our house.

What are you listening to right now?
Whatever music that is going to get me motivated for an hour or 2 of running
