Michele began her career with Publix in 2019 in her current position. Before joining Publix, she was vice president of client services of the Northeast Claims Unit at Sedgwick Claims Management Services.

What’s your favorite Publix product?
Our turkey Pub sub. It reminds me of subs back home in Pennsylvania.

What skills have advanced your Publix career the most?
My ability to interact with people and good communication skills. I’m always open and willing to learn more about the company.

What advice do you have for new Publix associates?
Embrace the culture and meet as many people as you can to understand the company better.

Having my kids

What did you want to be when you were younger?
I went to college for criminal justice but didn’t know what I wanted to do at first. I liked investigating and piecing things together, which has helped me with this job.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to travel and I also enjoy the outdoors.

Every day is a 2nd chance.

We went to Italy in August of last year.

If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose would they be?
I’d like to be a surgeon for a day. It’s high-risk and stressful, but they have such a profound impact on people’s lives.
