Neetu joined the Publix family in 2001. She started as a systems analyst with Publix Technology, working on marketing and promotion systems. Over time, she began to manage different projects like our pricing promotions, merchandising, Club Publix rewards and our data collection system. Neetu was promoted to her current role in 2023.
What made you want to work at Publix?
I used to live in Miami, and I was always fascinated with Publix stores when I shopped there. I was offered an open position and was excited to join the company. Both my husband and I joined Publix together in 2001.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Always focus on learning as much as you can. Receiving constructive criticism can help you move 1 step closer to your goal.
Any hobbies you enjoy?
I love spending time with my family. My kids are grown-up now, so I enjoy every moment I’m with them. When we’re all together, I like to cook for my family.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Every day is a new challenge. There’s always something new for me to work on. I find great satisfaction in solving problems and collaborating with my team to achieve shared goals.
What’s a big project you were part of?
I was fortunate to be a part of the Publix Promotion Management System and the Club Publix Recommendation System. I’ve spent many years working on those 2 projects.
As a leader, how do you guide your team to success?
I have an open door policy with my team, and that helps me build a good relationship with them. There’s no barrier between us. I’ve supported this policy because I want my associates to feel comfortable talking to me about anything.
Who was a big motivation for you growing up?
My parents were my biggest motivators. Their vision influenced me a lot as a kid. They believed in my potential to succeed and always supported me.
What’s your favorite Publix product?
Our ice cream, especially the butter pecan and vanilla flavors
If you could spend a day with any celebrity, who would it be?
It would be really cool to spend a day with Taylor Swift.
What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie of all time is “The Pursuit of Happyness.”
What sport do you enjoy watching?
I enjoy watching NBA basketball games. My favorite team to root for is the Golden State Warriors.
