This summer, we kicked off the Publix Delivery Challenge. All stores within a Publix delivery area were challenged to encourage customers to use our grocery delivery service, powered by Instacart.
Across all divisions, stores used unique displays and creative tactics to spread the word about grocery delivery. Associates distributed handouts, described the convenience of the service and explained how it allows customers to view the same items online they would see in the store.
After two weeks of dynamically promoting the service, we calculated the number of new customers in each region. It was a close one, but we are happy to announce our winning region.
Drumroll, please
Congratulations to the Lakeland Division’s southwest region, led by Regional Director Marsha Singh, who won the challenge by increasing the number of customers using delivery more than any other region. Lakeland’s central region was second, led by Regional Director Patrick Helm. And not to be outdone, the Jacksonville Division’s central region, led by Regional Director David Currey, came in a close third.
Marsha’s stores each received a celebration for their hard work, and Marsha received a plaque for helping lead her region to victory.
Keep the momentum going
