Rob began his Publix career in 1996 as a front service clerk at #527, Gainesville, Florida. He held several roles in grocery and customer service before becoming a technical specialist in 2010. Since then, Rob has been a buyer, category manager, and business development director of the health/nutrition, beauty/personal care, over-the-counter medicine, and housewares purchasing categories. He has been in his current role since January.

What’s your favorite Publix product?
I love the Publix Ultimate Sub. Nothing beats a Pub sub!

I’ve been enjoying the “StarTalk” podcast with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
What’s your work philosophy?
Training is key. I believe it is important to train the next group of associates who will one day replace us.
What’s your advice to someone just starting their Publix career?
Take it all in and be coachable! The opportunities are abundant for those who are willing to learn.

When both of my kids were born
What is your favorite movie?
I love the original “Star Wars” trilogy. They’re classics.
What’s 1 thing on your bucket list?
I want to fly in a P-51 Mustang, a World War II-era airplane.

I like playing drums and guitar.
