ROC exhibits: 90 years later, we keep getting better

See what’s next for Publix and how we’re making improvements across our operating area through several exhibits attendees visited at this year’s ROC.

My Publix, My Part

We refreshed our My Publix, My Part program, making it easier than ever for associates to understand — and execute — our strategy. In addition to our revamped strategy map, strategic tasks are now called difference makers. We’ve also added semiannual CBTs and updated performance evaluations.

Good Together

Recently, Publix committed to donate $2 billion in food through our perishable recovery program in the next 10 years. That’s on top of the more than $2 billion in food we’ve donated to hunger relief organizations since 2009! And that’s not all. We’ve reduced our energy consumption in stores, added LED lighting and donated to the Arbor Day Foundation and Sustainable Fisheries Partnership. We couldn’t do it without you — that’s why we’re Good Together.

Innovation at Publix

Our associates help us keep moving forward with their continuous improvement ideas. Through the Innovation Council, we’re exploring innovative ideas pitched by associates, such as voice technology, the Publix Stories podcast and our Fresh Goods collection!

Preparing for the future of pharmacy

If you need a vaccine, Publix is the place to go. In addition to offering vaccines at our pharmacies, customers will also have the option to prepay for their prescriptions and more through our Publix Pharmacy app.

What’s fueling you?

Did you forget to pack your lunch for your shift? Not to worry. There are plenty of food options in our stores to help you meet your health and wellness goals. Look for wellness icons and shelf tags like Better Choice to find more options that meet your needs.

48.10 prototype

Our new store model, the 48.10 prototype, features an array of venues, including refreshed deli islands, mezzanine dining options for customers, improved staging in the backroom and dock, and expanded beer displays, among other design features. These elements provide a design that will stand the test of time, featuring strong messaging that is easily adaptable to respond to evolving customers. Why? Because Publix wants to keep providing premier service by providing customers a shopping experience they love.

Aprons

We’re giving customers something to snack on morning, noon and night with product sampling and meal solutions at our Aprons kiosks. With simpler recipes and our Aprons Cooking School online classes, customers can become their own top chef in the comfort of their homes. And, we’ve transitioned our Aprons Event Planning to Publix Catering, allowing customers to better understand our catering program while providing the same premier service!
