Once a year, all Publix store managers, retail and support leaders, directors and officers attend our annual Retail Operations Conference (ROC). During this meeting, our leaders share successes from the past year, new goals and how to prepare for potential challenges. It’s an exciting time of year, one that brings associates together to remind us we are One Publix with One Purpose!
This year’s ROC was extra special with the kickoff to a milestone celebration: our 90th anniversary. Held in Orlando, Florida, the conference had nearly 1,600 attendees who spent two days hearing from CEO Todd Jones; President Kevin Murphy; Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer & Chief Digital Officer Laurie Douglas; Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer David Phillips; and division speakers.
During the ROC, attendees explored a variety of exhibits. This year, attendees learned about our enhanced My Publix, My Part program, ways to save on repair and maintenance costs and our new store design prototype. Other exhibits focused on innovation, our perishable recovery program, food options to help support your health and wellness goals, a walk through our history and more. Along with exhibits, associates also enjoyed sampling new Publix products as part of The Taste.
But one of the most exciting parts of each year’s conference is celebrating our successes! Along with celebrating 90 years, leaders also presented our top awards, as well as recognized stores that reached sales and profit goals. Check out this year’s recipients of the George W.
