Our Publix truck drivers are vital to ensuring products arrive at our stores safely and on time. Every year, they showcase their skills and industry knowledge by participating in truck driving competitions across various states.

This year’s Alabama Truck Driving Championships was held June 6 in Montgomery, Alabama. Four of our drivers competed in different vehicle classes, with 1 bringing home an award.

Kyle Avery — 1st place, flatbed; Kyle won this award last year and was also named 2024 Rookie of the Year. He will go on to compete at the American Trucking Associations’ National Truck Driving Championships, Aug. 20 – 23 in Minneapolis.
