Road to excellence
Every year, hundreds of top professional truck drivers participate in state competitions to showcase their skills and knowledge of the industry. Drivers from a wide range of companies and vehicle classes — such as tanker, flatbed, 4-axle and 5-axle — compete and are evaluated on written tests, pre-trip inspections and skills courses.
Our champions
This year, 48 Publix drivers participated in the Alabama, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina Truck Driving Championships. It was an outstanding year for Publix, with 3 drivers winning 1st place in their classes and 1 driver being awarded Rookie of the Year.
Those who won 1st place at the state level will advance to the American Trucking Associations’ 2025 National Truck Driving Championships, Aug. 20 – 23 in Minneapolis.
