Our Jacksonville central fill pharmacy is now open. At nearly 170,000 square feet, this facility will eventually support retail pharmacies in northern Florida and all other states in our operating area, helping to fill customer prescriptions more efficiently. At full capacity, the facility can fill up to 1 million prescriptions each week, with most orders reaching stores the next day.

Associates in this area group multiple filled prescriptions for the same patient, package them together and send them by conveyor to the sortation system.
Sortation robots
A robotics system sorts and places finished prescription bags into totes for each store, creating a more streamlined process.
Autobagger machine
This machine bags the medicine, the patient’s receipt, required prescription medication guides and privacy information.
SmartShelf
This shelving unit helps organize and combine orders with multiple prescriptions. When an order arrives, it is scanned and a slot lights up, indicating where the associate should place it. Prescriptions are added until the order is complete.
