Consumers are reaching for more bagged salads

 With more to do in the same amount of time, Americans are relying on the convenience and variety bagged salads have to offer.

More than 70 percent of U.S. households consume bagged, packaged salads, and it’s only expected to grow. According to a recent report by market research publisher Packaged Facts, sales are expected to increase from $5.5 billion in 2013 to $7 billion by 2018.

We can attribute the expected growth to a few reasons. Bagged salads allow consumers to incorporate a healthful option into their diets without all the prep work. It also cuts down on waste and spoilage.
