Truck Driver Jeff Melville took sixth place in the flatbed category of the 2013 American Trucking Association’s National Truck Driving Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jeff was the only Publix associate to participate in the competition, where he was required to complete a written exam, personal interview, pre-trip inspection and a skills test.

Jeff received the opportunity to compete in the national championships after qualifying in first place at the 2013 Georgia Truck Driving Championships last May. He also took home the Grand Champion award for achieving the overall highest score during the three-day competition.
