Fortune magazine ranked Publix No. 74 in its second annual list of 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials. This is the first time Publix has appeared on this list, and it is one of only four Florida companies to make the list.
Fortune and its research partners surveyed more than 88,000 millennials at more than 600 companies ranked as great places to work to develop the top 100 listing.
Millennials — those born in the 1980s and 1990s — comprise a large portion of the U.S. workforce and tend to move from job to job. Tampa Bay Times notes that Publix’s excellent employee benefits make it a desirable workplace for retaining employees, including those in their 30s and younger.
