If you think you’re seeing an increase in the number of better-for-you snack options, you’re not imagining things! A new study from Amplify Snack Brands and the Center for Generational Kinetics found millennial shoppers have a huge influence on the types of snack foods being produced.

Millennials, as a group, tend to be very health conscious. Their demand for snack options with fewer and/or organic ingredients have driven the availability and selection of better-for-you options, and they expect these snacks to taste as good as or better than traditional snack foods. In addition, they are teaching their children about healthy eating habits, which may create another generation of snack-food consumers looking for options to best match their lifestyle.
