Modern Baking magazine named Publix Bakery the In-Store Bakery of the Year in its May edition.
The award highlighted areas in which Publix excels like standardized production, consistent merchandising and creative leeway. Keeping bakery ingredients exclusive, and growing and protecting the brand with differentiated products helped make Publix’s in store bakery the best in the country.
“Our goal is to provide quality products our customers want to purchase and can’t get anywhere else. Breads, rolls, cakes and desserts are the heart and soul of the bakery,” said Business Development Director Jane Pixley. “That’s our foundation, and we’ve built our reputation and point of differentiation around those. We believe if we keep the products as original as possible, this will continue to differentiate Publix Bakery.”
