Publix Pharmacy opens at two Nemours locations
Publix recently opened full-service pharmacies in two Nemours locations in Florida. The pharmacy in Nemours Children’s Hospital in Lake Nona Medical City, Orlando, opened in December 2016, and the second one at Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Jacksonville, opened last month.
Both locations provide patients, families and employees with the high standard of customer care that Publix is known for. In addition to the services found in our store pharmacies, these pharmacies will have access to specialty medications that aren’t found at our traditional retail pharmacies and offer home delivery of compound prescription medications.
Publix helps Arbor Day Foundation restore north Florida waterways
In late 2016, Publix donated more than $105,000 to the Arbor Day Foundation. The funds are being used to plant tree seedlings in the upper and lower Ocklawaha Watershed of the St. Johns River in north central Florida. The trees are meant to help clean the waterways and restore wildlife habitats, reflecting our commitment to protecting natural resources.
On Jan. 18, Publix associates participated in a tree planting ceremony with the Arbor Day Foundation to celebrate the donation.
