Customers say Publix is the nation’s No. 2 grocery store, according to a study by Market Force Information.
Although Trader Joe’s beat out Publix for the top spot, Publix led in key areas, including fast checkouts, cleanliness, availability of items, ease of finding items and specialty department service.
The study was designed to better understand customers’ grocery-shopping preferences. Participants rated their satisfaction with their most recent grocery shopping experience and likelihood to refer a grocer to others, and the results were averaged to rank each brand.
