Fortune magazine named Publix one of the world’s Most Admired Companies in the food and drug industry. Publix has made the list every year since 1994.

“Publix is a strong, healthy, vibrant company because we’ve never departed from the
foundation Mr. George set for us,” said CEO Ed Crenshaw. “For 85 years, we’ve remained focused on serving our customers and taking care of our associates.”

Fortune’s list of the world’s Most Admired Companies is based on ratings calculated from thousands of business people within each industry. Survey respondents are asked to rate companies in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value to social responsibility.
