Market Force Information recently ranked Publix No. 2 nationally in a survey measuring the composite loyalty index for U.S. grocers. Publix scored a 75 percent satisfaction rating by consumers, just behind the Rochester, New York-based Wegmans Food Markets at 76 percent. Both stores scored high in cleanliness, specialty department services and ability to find items, according to the survey.
Trader Joe’s ranked third this year, falling from its No. 1 rank for the first time. Aldi ranked No. 5. Kroger came in at No. 8, while Wal-Mart was last at No. 15.
