A study led by Purdue University found low-risk patients were three times less likely to be hospitalized when they received Medication Therapy Management (MTM) from a pharmacist.
The study also highlights the important role pharmacists can play in helping patients improve health results.
Through MTM, Publix pharmacists are able to schedule time with patients to go over their medications and make sure they understand the appropriate use.
