Americans place their trust in supermarkets, according to an annual poll on honesty and trust in 19 different industries. The industries ranged from hospitals and health insurance to search engines and social media, and consumers ranked supermarkets the most trustworthy.
After supermarkets, consumers named hospitals the second most trustworthy. Tobacco, oil and telecom were among the lowest ranking industries in the poll.
Last year, Publix received awards for excellence in diversity, food safety and customer satisfaction, among several others.
