She earned her bachelor’s degrees in finance and real estate from Florida State University, and her MBA from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. Where were you born?
Clearwater, Florida

What did you want to be when you were little?
I wanted to be a newspaper editor. In the fifth grade, I was editor of the Pioneer Post at my elementary school.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The growth — serving new communities and creating new job opportunities for our associates. I enjoy the strategy behind it, including looking at the big picture and finding the right tools to be effective and efficient.

What do you enjoy most about working at Publix?
I like the tangible results of our work like going to a store grand opening and knowing we had a part in making that happen.

What’s your favorite Publix product?
Publix Premium Frozen Yogurt — I’ll pretty much try anything that sounds good, but my go-to is definitely chocolate, usually mixed with something like brownie bites.

What’s your work philosophy?
Something I’m telling my team is to work smart, which fits well with Mr. George’s lessons. We always want to be working for the greater good and doing the right thing. Publix holds us accountable, and I want us to be accountable to both the company and to each other.

What are your favorite sports teams?
The Florida State Seminoles and the University of Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Ice cream. Even my team knows about it.

What’s your proudest moment?
Hearing stories about how our associates came together to help reopen after a hurricane. It is amazing how much Publix people care for each other and our communities. It makes me very proud to be part of the company.

What brought you to Publix?
I was in high school and needed a job for gas money. I stayed because it was a good job and it helped me pay for college through the tuition reimbursement program.

What music are you listening to right now?
My music usually depends on my mood or what I’m doing. The last concerts I went to were Sam Hunt and Mumford & Sons.

What are your hobbies?
I love traveling — the more adventurous, the better. I also love trying new restaurants, being outside and active.
