Patrick began his Publix career in 1986 as a front service clerk in Largo, Florida. After working in a variety of positions, he was promoted to store manager in 2005, district manager in 2010 and to his current role in 2017.

What do you enjoy most about working at Publix?
You’re part of something greater than yourself. What we do stretches beyond these four walls. What we do transcends beyond our company. We learn to be great servants and listeners who are socially conscious.
What’s your favorite Publix memory?
Being promoted to store manager. Publix trusted me to run a million-dollar business, which I consider my biggest accomplishment. My family was so proud of me.

Trains, anything with ministry and hanging out with my wife

What brought you to Publix?
Burger King and Jim Mullins, the Publix store manager my mom knew from our local Publix when I was growing up. When Burger King wouldn’t hire me, my mom reminded the store manager that Jim Mullins said he’d be happy to hire me and my brother when we turned 16.
