If you were able to resist the urge to try these new ice creams when they first debuted, make sure you don’t miss the We All Scream for Ice Cream tasting event July 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During this tasting event, ice cream lovers will have a chance to try these new limited-time ice cream flavors. But wait, the ice cream desserts don’t stop there. Customers also can taste Publix Bakery Ice Cream Bar Cake.
Come try these frozen desserts for yourself, and recommend them to your family, friends and customers. If you fall in love with these new ice cream flavors, don’t wait too long to bring some home, as they’re only here for a limited time.

Publix brings home sweet awards
Our product research and development teams come up with some pretty innovative products each year, and we have new awards to prove it.
Put a ribbon on it
Each year, amateur pie makers, professional bakers and chefs, and commercial pie companies from around the country and Canada come together for the APC National Pie Championships. Publix competed in the commercial division, and four of our pies took home blue ribbons.
Our Toasted Coconut Cream Pie won in the family category/coconut cream flavor. Our Sweet Potato Pecan Streusel Pie (family category/open flavor) and Peach Cobbler Pie (family category/peach flavor) defended their championship titles. And, our Strawberry Pie earned the blue ribbon in the premium strawberry pie category.
With these blue ribbons come bragging rights — you’ll notice a blue ribbon sticker on each award-winning pie.
This isn’t the first time Publix was recognized for its pies. In 2013, our Chocolate Pecan Coconut Pie also took home a blue ribbon, and many of our other pies — like Apple, Key Lime, Mixed Berry and Cherry — have won past championship awards.
What innovation tastes like
At the International Dairy Foods Association’s (IDFA) Ice Cream Technology Conference, attendees screamed for more Publix Premium Southern Banana Pudding Limited Edition ice cream. They sampled more than 30 ice cream entries and voted Southern Banana Pudding as the flavor Most Innovative Flavor of the Year because it captured the nostalgic flavor of banana pudding in an ice cream product.
Southern Banana Pudding joins three other Publix Premium limited edition ice cream flavors that have won the IDFA’s most innovative ice cream flavor of the year. They are
- Publix Premium Sticky Buns (2007)
- Publix Premium Light Creamy Churned Style Lemon Sugar Cookie (2008) and
- Publix Premium Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie (2009).
Southern Banana Pudding — and our newest limited edition ice cream flavors Blueberry Cobbler, Caramel Turtle Cheesecake and Once Upon a Cookie — is in stores now. But just like ice cream, they won’t last forever, so pick up a half gallon before they melt in the summer heat.
