Can you guess your state’s favorite Halloween candy?

No tricks, just treats! Solve this sweet tooth puzzle.

Did you know Americans spend close to $2 billion a year on Halloween candy? The most popular Halloween handout is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, followed closely by Kit Kat and Butterfinger.

Can you guess which Halloween candy is your state’s favorite from our close-up pictures below? No need to panic; we’ve provided some fun-size facts to help you out.

Virginia
This candy gained instant popularity when actress Drew Barrymore fed them to an alien in the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. After the movie debuted, sales increased 300 percent. Since the state is known for growing peanuts, it’s no surprise Virginians love this peanut butter-flavored sweet.

North Carolina
Created in 1923, this butter-flavored candy bar was dropped from airplanes around U.S. cities to build its popularity. The Tar Heel State may be friendly, but nobody better lay a finger on North Carolina’s favorite candy.

Tennessee and South Carolina
The oldest candy on our list was originally known as chicken feed when it was first produced in the 1880s. Now, more than 20 million pounds are consumed each year. A variety of color combinations make it a versatile treat for various seasonal holidays, including Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter, keeping residents of Tennessee and South Carolina happy all year long.

Alabama
Alabamians love this brightly colored, taffy-like candy that comes in 12 flavors, including a mystery white. Just make sure to brush your teeth when you’re done, because this treat contains 51 grams of sugar.

Georgia
When children were spotted dumping a sugary drink mix directly into their mouths instead of mixing it into their water, the inventor of this candy gave this powdery concoction a new name and purpose Georgians love.

Florida

Once sold only at movie theatres, this candy bar with crisped rice is now available in 12 different varieties, including as a mix-in for yogurt. But folks in Florida still favor the original chocolate bar.
