Building hope in our communities through Publix Super Markets Charities

This month, Publix Super Markets Charities (PSMC) announced a $5 million donation to more than 126 Habitat for Humanity affiliates, shelters and other nonprofit organizations focused on housing across the Southeast.

Funds provided by PSMC give hope to individuals and families in need. The donation strengthens our communities by building homes and supporting programs such as emergency shelters and transitional housing.

“We’re committed to helping people in our communities,” said PSMC Executive Director Kelly Williams-Puccio. “We believe that individuals and families deserve the opportunity to one day achieve the stability and independence that comes from having a place to call their own.”

Mr. George started the foundation with the vision that giving would continue long after he was gone. More than 55 years later, Publix Charities remains committed to serving and meeting the needs of people in the communities in which Publix operates.
