Hunger Action Month, Feeding America’s initiative to help end hunger, was in September. Throughout the month, we came together to help feed our neighbors in need.

Publix Charities’ 2024 donation

Publix Super Market Charities (PSMC) donated $11 million to more than 300 local food banks and other nonprofits, including 39 Feeding America partner food banks. A portion of the donation will help purchase 15 vehicles and supporting equipment for Feeding America partner food banks, allowing them to bring food to the people they serve. The funds will also help support organizations that provide services like weekend backpack programs, food pantries and meal delivery programs. The 2024 donation brings PSMC’s total investment in helping to end hunger to over $63 million since 2015.

Publix Serves Week

From Sept. 15 to Sept. 21, over 7,000 associates across our 8-state operating area volunteered with nearly 150 hunger-related organizations and participated in local community service activities supporting individuals and families experiencing hunger. We distributed food at local food banks, created meal kits, assembled snack packs for kids and more. See how we helped.

These efforts extend beyond just 1 month and include year-round initiatives to help feed our neighbors in need, including the Good Together hunger campaign and our food donation program.
