Publix has been serving our communities for 90 years

Mr. George believed that for any organization to be truly successful, it must give back.

His philosophy of giving was simple — he believed that giving back was not an expense, but an investment, a responsibility and a privilege. And he set the example for all associates by giving his time, talent and money to organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs, United Way and YMCA. So strong was his belief in giving back that it became part of our mission — involved as responsible citizens in our communities.

And throughout our 90 years, we’ve remained committed to serving those in need. Whether participating in annual campaigns like Special Olympics, March of Dimes and Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) or volunteering on Publix Serves Day, the joy of service remains at the heart of everything we do to build stronger, healthier communities in the areas we serve.

Special Olympics

For more than 40 years, associates and customers have supported the Special Olympics, which provides free year-round training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people with intellectual differences.

March of Dimes

Since 1995, associates and customers have come together in the fight for healthy families through March of Dimes.

Children’s Miracle Network

Each year, associates and customers support Children’s Miracle Network, which provides critical treatments and health care services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care to children at participating CMN Hospitals.

Publix Serves

Launched in 2015, Publix Serves Day is a companywide day of service focused on providing associates the opportunity to come together as teams to support nonprofits throughout our operating area.
