You may not recognize some of your fellow Publix associates lately — they’ve been wearing hard hats, safety goggles, work gloves and their Publix Serves shirts.
Last Sept. 29 — Mr. George’s birthday — Publix Super Markets Charities announced the donation of $4 million to Habitat for Humanity affiliates in our operating areas. The donation is providing funding to build 40 new houses this year, as well as increasing support to more than 60 affiliates whom the foundation currently funds. Now, our associates are doing their part by volunteering their time and energy to help build the houses, and Publix is providing each family with a fully stocked pantry.
Check out the photos below from a few Habitat for Humanity affiliates around our operating area.
