On Aug. 29, Publix Super Markets Charities announced a $5 million contribution to support hunger initiatives established through Feeding America, schools and other non-profit organizations — continuing its commitment to help meet the basic needs of the communities it serves.

 
CEO & President Todd Jones also surprised Publix associates who were volunteering that day as part of Publix’s efforts to alleviate hunger.

“Every family deserves to have food on their table,” said Todd. “This $5 million donation honors Mr. George’s belief to give back.”
