Something wonderful happens when you give

2015 United Way Results - Associates pledged and raised: $33.4 million; Publix Super Markets Charities match: $25.3 million; Total contribution: $58.7 million

During our annual United Way fundraising campaign, thousands of you learned something wonderful happens when you give — a child receives education assistance, a family learns how to manage and overcome their debt, a homebound senior welcomes hot prepared meals, or you find the simple satisfaction of knowing you made a difference in someone’s life.

Whether you gave a financial gift or shared your time and talents with a United Way partner agency, your contribution is making a big difference in your community.

Did you know Publix ranks as United Way’s fourth most generous company in corporate giving? Only Wells Fargo, UPS and Microsoft have given more money to United Way.

Manufacturing, manufacturing/supply purchasing, industrial maintenance, industrial operations IT, business analysis and reporting, and ISTS associates and their families volunteered at the Sunrise Community of Central Florida’s day center. The organization is a United Way of Central Florida partner that enables the most vulnerable members of the community to remain healthy and active, avoiding placement at long-term nursing facilities and/or institutions. A similar group of associates served at the center four years ago — the last time similar work had been done.
