Taste the key to our pie

Named the official state pie of Florida in 2006, the Key lime pie is a blend of sweet and tart flavors inside of a pie crust — making it a perfect dessert! And in honor of Pi Day, we celebrate the award-winning Publix Bakery pies.

The Publix Bakery Key Lime Pie has been part of our product offerings since 1957 and we still use the original recipe. It’s made with Key limes found in the Florida Keys, which are tarter and more aromatic than typical limes and have a more yellow tone, giving the Key lime pie its unique color and flavor.

Our pie has won several awards in the Premium Key Lime category at the Annual American Pie Council (APC) National Pie Championships. Made at our Atlanta bakery plant, the pies are hand-finished at the store by bakery decorators who add whipped topping, toasted almonds and a candied white chocolate lime garnish.

And that’s not all! Our bakery has another tart and sweet option. Publix Mango Key Lime Pie is the same great Key lime pie recipe with fresh mango flavor. This tropical goodness has won the award in the Citrus category at the APC National Pie Championships!

For those of you craving something classic, we have you covered! Taste our apple pie, made with Crispin and Greening apples, cinnamon, sugar and the perfect blend of spices in our traditional flaky crust, or our Dutch apple pie, with a toasted streusel topping.
