Again this year, associates can be recognized with a challenge coin if they go above and beyond in bringing awareness of shrink and safety to their fellow associates. Since challenge coins rolled out last year, coins have been awarded to associates across all divisions who have proven their commitment to safety or reducing shrink. Associates are nominated by their assistant store manager, and the PreventionPlus support team chooses the winners.
Periodically, challenge coin winners are featured in Publix News. So, if you’re ready for a moment in the spotlight, show your manager why you deserve to win! Each month starts a new opportunity to demonstrate your commitment, so even if you haven’t won yet, don’t give up.
The new 12-month PreventionPlus series begins in July. And this year, associates will have 60 days to complete their CBT modules. Keep an eye out for new PlusPoints from your assistant store manager throughout the year — they may spark an idea to help you receive a challenge coin nomination.
Retail associates can look for new PreventionPlus posters and CBT modules next month, and talk to their assistant store manager, a PreventionPlus team member or a loss prevention and safety associate about ways to reduce unnecessary shrink and prevent injuries in their store.
