Honoring the pharmacists who care for our communities

More than 3,000 pharmacists work in over 1,300 Publix pharmacies, and we are proud to celebrate them this American Pharmacists Month.

Whether it’s patient counseling, medication management or providing immunizations, Publix pharmacists play an important role in the health and well-being of our customers and associates.

Our pharmacists are proud to be part of Publix and carry on Mr. George’s legacy by providing premier service. Two of our pharmacists share how they grew their careers.

Pharmacy Manager Huda Abdi, #752, Stonecrest, Georgia

“I began as a pharmacy technician. I was able to see the difference I was making, which inspired me to go to pharmacy school.”

Pharmacy Manager Lina Said, #1211, Nashville, Tennessee

“I started at Publix in customer service and held a variety of roles before becoming a pharmacy technician and eventually a pharmacist. Patient care and customer service go hand in hand. Once you earn a customer’s trust, you can advise them on their prescriptions and other things, as well.”
